About the role 

Within our Library environment you’ll work with databases, e-books and the team, analyse problems and help our students succeed. You’ll support staff and students with your creative thinking and innovation. 

This is a permanent part-time position, working 23 hours per week.  

Are you an ideal candidate? 

Are you tech-savvy with excellent verbal and written communication skills? With your outstanding customer service experience and digital literacy, this could be the job for you. Add flexibility and a proven ability to work with customers to solve problems and you’ll excel in this role. 

Applicants must be able to work one weekend afternoon (12pm-5pm) a week. Over the summer break, times may be changed due to opening hours of Library. 

Essential:

  • 3-4 years’ work experience 
  • NCEA Level 3  
  • Digital literacy 
  • Ability to undertake some physical demands such as lifting and moving heavy boxes and pushing library trolleys 
Desirable: Experience working in a busy client-focused environment, information provision, Library experience, Acquisitions.
