to be a successful candidate, you must have; 

• Chemistry-based tertiary qualification and laboratory experience
• An understanding of procuring and maintaining laboratory consumables
• High level of literacy, numerical reasoning, and effective communication
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• The ability to be flexible and work in a dynamic environment as a team player and to work effectively with minimum supervision by following detailed laboratory instructions
• Proactive attitude to health and safety

We are seeking a committed, talented and enthusiastic chemistry technician to provide comprehensive support in our chemistry laboratory. You will maintain equipment, store chemicals, prepare resources for tutors, support tutors, keep accurate records and carry out administration to support the smooth operation of the laboratory. You will also be a health and safety champion and will promote safe practices within our laboratory. 

You will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant area (e.g., Chemistry) and experience working in a similar laboratory environment. You will have a good eye for detail and strong organizational skills. You will be committed to providing a quality service, have demonstrated good time management skills, and maintain a flexible and positive attitude.
