Wintec’s Centre for Health and Social Practice is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Kaiāwhina to support the delivery of our Social Practice Programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the delivery of the Bachelor of Social Work, Paetahi Tūmū Kōrero Bachelor of Counselling, and the Certificate of Health and Well-Being at Wintec. 

About the role 
Within the Centre for Health and Social Practice, you will be able to support Māori and Pasifika learners succeed. You will work with social practice students to ensure their experiences at Wintec are enjoyable and educational, whilst helping them to navigate their way through their learning journey. 

Are you an ideal candidate? 
Do you have up-to-date industry experience as well as professional qualifications in career guidance and pastoral care?

Are you comfortable with working flexibly and with learners across a range of social practice disciplines?

To be successful in this role, you will have skills in working with and understanding the needs of Māori and Pasifika learners within a tertiary setting. You will also be confident with proactively approaching students and staff. Hence, excellent communication and project management skills are essential, together with knowledge of Tikanga.
