Graphic Designer

The Wintec | Te Pūkenga Marketing team is looking for a Graphic Designer with agency or in-house design experience. Join us for a six-month fixed term contract until the end of 2023!

Our team promotes the Wintec | Te Pūkenga brand to the students of the future.

We produce many marketing materials in-house and also work to deliver campaigns to Te Pūkenga guidelines and templates. We reach our consumers through out-of-home, social media, digital, print, electronic mail and other advertising and marketing touchpoints and resources.

This role requires you to be a cool-headed, reliable and detail-orientated designer and operator. You need to be a fast and proficient designer and be comfortable working to strict brand guidelines and provided templates.

Are you an ideal candidate?

We are looking for someone who will be experienced in using best-practice design principles to enhance the impact of their work, and you must be comfortable using an array of design programs and can use them proficiently.

You need to balance hitting multiple deadlines with producing work of excellent quality and impact, so you should have excellent time management skills. We are after an effective communicator, who knows when to highlight issues, deadline changes, or impacts and report them back to the other members of the marketing team or to your suppliers.

You will also need to be comfortable designing within the framework of our brand's visual identity system. You will understand the need to produce quality items whilst appreciating the need to work within product budgets and constraints.

You must feel comfortable briefing and managing the printer relationship as you will be responsible for organising print production and managing production timelines.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A bachelor's degree or some form of qualification in graphic design
• Strong working knowledge of the Adobe suite, in particular InDesign
• Experience in an agency or as an in-house designer
• Experience providing print-ready files and collaborating with printers to ensure quality production
