Graphic Designer

The Wintec Marketing team is looking for a Graphic Designer with a minimum of 5 years agency and/or in-house design experience to join us for a 13-month maternity-cover contract starting early October.

Our team is tasked with promoting Wintec to the students of the future.  We produce most of our materials in-house across a range of media channels including out-of-home, social media, digital, print, electronic mail and other advertising and marketing touch points and resources.

The role holds sole responsibility for the in-house graphic design outputs for our organisation. It combines a number of annual production elements including the Prospectus, Annual Report, and Graduation resources together with Masterbrand advertising campaigns, and promotional materials for the many different centres and programmes that Wintec offers.

This role requires you to be a cool-headed, reliable and a detail-orientated designer. You will be striving to find balance in everything you do and produce. That means finding balance between creating beautiful looking resources while ensuring they deliver to best-practice advertising learnings. Balancing the need to manage and hit multiple deadlines, with producing work of excellent quality and impact.

You will also need to be comfortable designing within the framework of our brand’s visual identity system whilst also looking for more creative and exciting ways to entice consumers and bring our offering to life. You will understand the need to produce items of great quality whilst appreciating the need to work within product budgets and constraints.

You must also feel comfortable briefing and managing printer relationships.

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree in graphic design
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and the rest of the Adobe CS
  • 5+ years’ work in a creative agency or as an in-house Graphic Designer
  • Experience providing print-ready files and collaborating with printers to ensure quality production
  • Have the ability to deliver to tight deadlines and work across multiple touch points at once
  • Have the ability and confidence to design based on briefs written by a variety of stakeholders with different expertise and needs

In return, you will be part of a fun and relaxed team of marketeers, who work hard, love a good laugh and value the work/life balance and flexible working environment that Wintec provides.

You will also get to work for an organisation that promotes positive growth and learning in our community.

If this sounds like you, please submit an application including a cover letter outlining why your experience coupled with your own personal style and approach would make you a good fit for this position and team. In addition, we would like to see a brief overview of some of your favourite design work that you have produced in recent roles (3-4 pages).
