Finance Teacher (Short-term Overseas Assignment in Guizhou, China)


We are looking for an experienced Finance Teacher with an interest in international education to teach Finance module for Waikato Institute of Technology (WINTEC) in Guizhou, China.

This role is a fixed term position for 8 weeks from mid November 2019 to early January 2020, teaching in the classroom for about 15 hours per week.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Business or related discipline.

  • Have minimum two years’ experience teaching Finance modules.

  • Ideally have some experience teaching the following contents:

   - Financial management, financial planning and financial control

   - Impact of stakeholder demands and agency theory on financial goals

   - Basic concepts of working capital management

   - Cash, accounts receivable, inventory and accounts payable management

   - Capital expenditure

   - Capital structure, debt and equity consideration, weighted average cost of capital etc.

   - Short- and long-term financing

  • Preferably, have some experience in teaching young adults in China or other Asian countries.

  • Be a positive, resilient and patient teacher, who has a real passion about education.
