Electrical Tutor

Are you excited about creating a positive and supportive learning environment for our learners that meets professional standards requirements?

Wintec’s Professional Programmes team is  looking for industry savvy people who would like to facilitate and deliver one or more of the following programmes.

It is essential you are established in industry and hold specialised Electrical knowledge about standards and requirements.

  • Ideally, you would have some teaching experience, but Wintec is committed to supporting your progress as a tutor if you are the right person and are keen to give back by sharing your knowledge. Electrical Service Appliance Qualification (EASQ) and Electrical Service Technicians (EST) short courses

  • Electrical Regulations – Practical and Theory

  • Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) Electrical Refresher courses.

  • EWRB Electrical Inspectors programme

Minimum qualifications

  • Hold Full Electrical Registration issued under the Electricity Act 1992

  • Hold a current New Zealand Practising licence; and have the confidence and the necessary skills and knowledge to present and facilitate the Wintec professional programme Electrical Short courses

  • Candidates should preferably hold Unit Standard 4098 or be prepared to do this unit standard as professional development.

Minimum experience

  • Minimum of five years post New Zealand full Electrical Registration or equivalent overseas experience 

We are seeking at least one person to cover a range of courses as they are scheduled, but can offer flexible work to multiple candidates as enrolments require.

We foresee this as hourly paid work that occurs on an as-needed basis that could sit alongside other working commitments. We are open to negotiation with interested candidates to suit your working needs.
