Customer Services Assistant


Support staff and students, solve information problems, lead change in this part time Customer Services Assistant role (32 hours per week)

Bring your innovation and creative thinking to the successful Library team based at our Hamilton City and Rotokauri campuses. 

About the role 

Within our Library environment you’ll work with databases, e-books and the team, analyse problems and help our students succeed. You’ll support staff and students with your creative thinking and innovation. 

Are you an ideal candidate? 

Are you tech-savvy with excellent verbal and written communication skills? With your outstanding customer service experience and digital literacy, this could be the job for you. Add flexibility and a proven ability to work with customers to solve problems and you’ll excel in this role. 

Essential:

  • 3-4 years’ work experience 
  • NCEA Level 3 
  • Digital literacy 
  • Ability to undertake some physical demands such as lifting and moving heavy boxes and pushing library trolleys 

Desirable: Experience working in a busy client-focused environment, information provision.

Applicants must be able to work at least one evening (until 8pm Monday-Thursday) and/or one weekend afternoon (12pm-5pm) a week. Over the summer break, times may be changed due to opening hours of Library.
